Nauru - More Evidence of Serious Abuse

The Immigration Department's release of its internal review into the Nauru Files provides yet more evidence of frequent and serious abuse in the Australian run camp, and exposes the Nauruan government as derelict in its duties to prosecute the crimes.
"The scale of the human crisis is staggering," said Greens Immigration spokesperson Senator Nick McKim.
"It is sickening that people are being deliberately exposed to this level of suffering by culpable governments in Australia and Nauru."
"The release confirms work done by the UNHCR and many other organisations which has already revealed the inhumane conditions facing people detained on Nauru."
"This cannot go on any longer. People on Nauru and Manus Island seeking new lives in Australia have to be brought here now and looked after properly."
"And the camps have to close so we can move on from this stain on our country's history."
"More than two serious incidents every week with over one a month referred to police is clear evidence that Minster Dutton is incompetent as well as uncaring."
